EBS 주시경체란?
EBS 주시경체는 콘텐츠 저작권 강화와 서체의 다양성 확보를 위해 EBS가 개발한 한글 글꼴입니다.
EBS는 한글학회의 협조를 받아 주시경 선생의 『국어문법』 육필본 원본 자료를 제공받고, 원본 글씨의 특징을 분석하여 디지털 서체 개발에 활용했습니다. 이후 글꼴의 기본 모듈을 추출하고 이를 바탕으로 3가지 굵기의 서체를 개발했습니다.
What is EBS Jushigyeong Font?
EBS Jushigyeong Font is a Korean typeface developed by EBS to strengthen content copyright and expand the diversity of its typefaces.
With the cooperation of the Hangeul Society, EBS obtained original handwritten materials from Ju Si-gyeong's Korean Grammar. EBS analyzed the characteristics of his original handwriting and extracted basic font modules for digital typeface development. Based on these modules, three different font weights were created.
주시경 선생의 친필을 바탕으로 개발
EBS 주시경체는 일반적인 한글 폰트를 새롭게 디자인한 것이 아니라, 주시경 선생의 실제 육필 원본을 개발의 근거자료로 활용했다는 점이 특징입니다.
EBS 공식 페이지에는 한글학회 자료인 주시경 선생의 『국어문법』 육필본과 이를 바탕으로 한 글꼴 개발 자료가 소개되어 있습니다.
Developed from Ju Si-gyeong's Handwriting
Unlike a typeface created entirely through modern graphic design, EBS Jushigyeong Font was developed using original handwritten materials by Ju Si-gyeong as a reference.
The official EBS page introduces the handwritten manuscript of *Korean Grammar*, provided through the Hangeul Society, as well as the source materials used for developing the typeface.

EBS 주시경체는 총 3가지 굵기로 구성되어 있습니다.

- EBS 주시경체 B
가벼운 느낌의 L부터 기본 굵기의 M, 굵은 B까지 구성되어 있어 제목과 본문 등 다양한 디자인 작업에 활용할 수 있습니다.

EBS Jushigyeong Font is available in three different weight:

EBS 주시경체의 저작권 및 소유권에 관한 제반 권리는 EBS한국교육방송공사에 있습니다.
무료로 다운로드하여 사용할 수 있지만, 이는 폰트 파일 자체에 대한 권리까지 사용자에게 이전된다는 의미는 아닙니다. 따라서 폰트 자체를 임의로 수정하거나 재판매하는 등의 행위에는 제한이 있습니다.

All copyrights and ownership rights of EBS Jushigyeong Font belong to the Korea Educational Broadcasting System (EBS).
Although the font can be downloaded and used free of charge, this does not transfer ownership of the font itself to users. Therefore, modifying or reselling the font itself is subject to restrictions.
EBS 주시경체 사용 시 주의사항
EBS의 사전 서면승인 없이 주시경체의 소스코드를 수정하거나 역설계하는 행위는 허용되지 않습니다.
또한 서체 자체를 임의로 개작하거나 이름을 변경한 뒤 재배포 또는 재판매하는 행위도 금지됩니다.
즉, 주시경체를 이용하여 디자인이나 콘텐츠를 만드는 것은 가능하지만, 폰트 자체를 변형하여 새로운 폰트처럼 배포하거나 판매하는 것은 허용되지 않습니다.
Restrictions
Without prior written permission from EBS, users may not modify or reverse-engineer the source code of EBS Jushigyeong Font.
It is also prohibited to modify the typeface itself, rename it, and then redistribute or resell it.
In other words, you may use EBS Jushigyeong Font to create your own designs and content, but you may not modify, redistribute, or sell the font itself as a new typeface.
사용이 제한되는 콘텐츠
EBS 주시경체는 음란물, 반사회적 제작물 등 부정적 이미지의 제작물에는 사용할 수 없습니다.
따라서 일반적인 교육, 디자인, 홍보, 인쇄, 웹사이트, 블로그 및 영상 콘텐츠 등 적절한 목적의 콘텐츠에 사용하는 것이 좋습니다.
Restricted Content
EBS Jushigyeong Font may not be used for pornography, antisocial productions, or other content associated with negative images.
It is therefore appropriate for purposes such as education, design, promotional materials, printed publications, websites, blogs, and video content.

EBS 주시경체는 주시경 선생의 실제 육필 자료를 바탕으로 개발된 독특한 한글 서체입니다.
학교와 개인, 공공기관 등 누구나 무료로 사용할 수 있으며, 영상·인쇄·웹·모바일 등 다양한 분야에서 상업적인 용도로도 사용할 수 있다는 점이 장점입니다.
